The Halo:Reach beta comes out on may third. After absolutely smashing ODST, I can't wait to play it.
Fable 3 is another one I'll be pretty content to have when it comes out. I hear the options are almost endless for what you can do, ruling Albion being one of them.
overall these two games are the ones im gonna be holding out for.
made by Nate Holmes Trapnell the stuff on his page is cool, and some of it odd. I didn't really understand the smoker ones, or the words in the smoke. But the bowling pin graphics are epic. have a look through the illustration, prints and sketch sections of the page, also have a look at the commercial section too. Really interesting stuff on there.

A fold out sculpture of a room, surrounded by random objects. made by Sam buxton of the idn network.
All the stuff on that page make me quite intent to sit there and stare at the detail of it all. I like how its all so detailed, but each of them varies from the others so much. I'd much like to have a look at his whole collection of works, and I guess that comes to the purpose, hes making it and getting it out there through the page.
This one encompasses a fair few different ideas, and some quite random effects. Shading, Texturing, Lighting, Rendering, VFX and Compositing were all included in this video. Every part of the video looks as if its had a lot of work done on it. It brings a lot of different genres together, and its purpose.. to entertain.
This one blew my mind, its only 2D, but the camera angle and the way its designed make it more like a 3D animation. the interaction with the bomb to blow up the door is cool, if this were made into a game I'd be pretty willing to play it to test it out. The genre is somewhat like super mario or wario, but the difference is nil really. I guess the purpose of the video was just to show what the game is like, atleast I'm assuming its a game.
This one is pretty. at first it appears to be just lines and squiggles, but then when you look closer, all the objects are made out of words, the couch says 'sofa' all over it, for example. It doesn't really use any media, just a bunch of words and lines, which is cool. because it looks good, but it's simple. There isn't a style to it really, it's just a well furnished room. and I suppose I can't think of any purpose that it could hold.
It's all really well placed together, and thought out. I particularly like the part where vines are sprouting up the side of the building, evolving as it climbs further up the building. Also, I forget what it's called, but the way the video has been sped up to make the clouds and sun move faster across the sky looks really cool. The camera angles were well thought out and integrate with the animation and style of the video perfectly. The purpose of the video is obviously to advertise Pirelli Ri, a real estate fund and asset management company. All together I really enjoyed watching it because I had no idea what was gonna happen next.
Achievement gaming rules. And it can be quite addictive. So I thought I'd link my gamertag here so you could all admire how much time I've actually put into it, which is a pretty stupid amount of time. :) enjoy.
