ideas for impossible situations.

Riding a lion through a metro tunnel.
Stopping a train with one hand.
Fighting a terminator with a banana.
Being attacked by a swarm of monkeys.
Blindfolded walking along the top of a skyscraper.
In a car falling towards the ground.
Doing a leap of faith off a huge building (assassins creed)
swimming through lava.
being towed through the ocean by a shark.
punching a hole through a planes cockpit window mid flight.
Propelling fire from the palms of my hands.

restaurant themes.

fancy stuff.

Five new interactive technologies.

1. Microsoft surface
A fully interactive table which can transfer files from camera to phone, vice versa. through sitting it on the top of the table. images are resizable and movable through touch and drag. Ripple effects appear when something is placed down, this is a really cool idea.

2. Nexus one voice input
An Iphone app which recognizes words and transfers them into text, it appears to work really well in this video, but I'm not sure whether it would work for everyone equally.

3. hologram projector
Could be used for anything from advertising to food selection, as well as having the touch table, with the voice recognition and the hologram projector to show what food looks like. really cool idea I think.

4. restaurant emenu
A screen fitted next to restaurant tables to make ordering easier and less stressful for restaurant staff.

5. moving menu boards
moving ad boards which are programmable to motion behind or around the menu, as well as short clips as ads for the restaurants name.

I'm pretty happy with the end result, it looks close to what I imagined it would.

X360, absolutely smashes PS3, no doubt.

The Halo:Reach beta comes out on may third.
After absolutely smashing ODST, I can't wait to play it.

Fable 3 is another one I'll be pretty content to have when it comes out.
I hear the options are almost endless for what you can do, ruling Albion being one of them.

overall these two games are the ones im gonna be holding out for.

cool designs

made by Nate Holmes Trapnell the stuff on his page is cool, and some of it odd. I didn't really understand the smoker ones, or the words in the smoke. But the bowling pin graphics are epic. have a look through the illustration, prints and sketch sections of the page, also have a look at the commercial section too. Really interesting stuff on there.

Morten Rowley.

All the stuff on that page make me quite intent to sit there and stare at the detail of it all. I like how its all so detailed, but each of them varies from the others so much. I'd much like to have a look at his whole collection of works, and I guess that comes to the purpose, hes making it and getting it out there through the page.

This one encompasses a fair few different ideas, and some quite random effects.
Shading, Texturing, Lighting, Rendering, VFX and Compositing were all included in this video. Every part of the video looks as if its had a lot of work done on it. It brings a lot of different genres together, and its purpose.. to entertain.

This one blew my mind, its only 2D, but the camera angle and the way its designed make it more like a 3D animation. the interaction with the bomb to blow up the door is cool, if this were made into a game I'd be pretty willing to play it to test it out.
The genre is somewhat like super mario or wario, but the difference is nil really.
I guess the purpose of the video was just to show what the game is like, atleast I'm assuming its a game.

This one is pretty. at first it appears to be just lines and squiggles, but then when you look closer, all the objects are made out of words, the couch says 'sofa' all over it, for example. It doesn't really use any media, just a bunch of words and lines, which is cool. because it looks good, but it's simple. There isn't a style to it really, it's just a well furnished room. and I suppose I can't think of any purpose that it could hold.

There can be no evolution without change, and no change without new ideas.

Pirelli Re - Blooming Builds from abstract groove on Vimeo.

It's all really well placed together, and thought out. I particularly like the part where vines are sprouting up the side of the building, evolving as it climbs further up the building. Also, I forget what it's called, but the way the video has been sped up to make the clouds and sun move faster across the sky looks really cool. The camera angles were well thought out and integrate with the animation and style of the video perfectly. The purpose of the video is obviously to advertise Pirelli Ri, a real estate fund and asset management company. All together I really enjoyed watching it because I had no idea what was gonna happen next.

Achievement gaming rules. And it can be quite addictive.
So I thought I'd link my gamertag here so you could all admire how much time I've actually put into it, which is a pretty stupid amount of time. :) enjoy.

garageband creationz

A pretty horrid sounding song that I made in garageband in class on friday.
took me a while to figure out how to do it, but with the help of

Luke and a few websites for advice I figured it out, enjoy. (:

Go and have a look at some of the stuff on this page, if you have a look at the profiles of the members that uploaded them they have a fair few good ideas. I really like some of the stuff on that site cause it all looks heaps good.
and definitely check out Kojimba in the movies part of it, really funny.

Get the glass

I had a pretty good time playing it, despite how much I got sent to milkatraz, and the way the characters were designed is cool. The same thing with the island, it was really well made and stuff. The dice system was pretty well made, I liked the way it bounces off the sides of the window when you throw it heaps hard. bouncing it as much as possible seemed really amusing to me, as I am quite easily amused, as you'll all come to find out. the games at the end had me for a little while, I didn't get the idea of the chips up the top for about 5 minutes. all around it's a pretty good game, I don't think I'll play it again for a while though. Unless we have to..
anyway, that's all for the review. goodbye person reading this.

Now this is something that gives me heaps of ideas for designs and, the green glow in the bottom looks pretty cool, the architecture of the building is interesting and different, and it just looks like it'd be a challenge to design, so I'm interested.
animals are one of the things I really wanna learn how to animate, and this just made me laugh.

bloggy blog blogged the blogger.

this is the new blog, made for tafe ofcourse (: I'll probably end up making another to link skate videos and various non-tafe related stuff to. but this one, for now shall be all for tafe, and the numerous amount of homies that inhabit it, feel free to comment away and whatnot.
until later posts, cya nigs.
